The Braves announced that they have returned Rule 5 pick Christian Cairo to the Guardians. Atlanta’s 40-man roster count drops to 37 but Cairo does not need to take up a roster spot with Cleveland. The Braves announced that infielder/outfielder Luke Williams has been outrighted to Triple-A Gwinnett. There wasn’t any previous indication that he had been removed from the 40-man roster, but he was apparently put on waivers recently and cleared. This drops the club’s 40-man count to 37.
