Former Jazz head coach Quin Snyder could land another head-coaching gig fairly soon.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Friday that Snyder and the Hawks are progressing in talks that would make him the franchise’s next head coach. A resolution could come within the next few days.
“Snyder is full focus of Hawks’ search now and sides are deep in conversations on what a vision for future looks like together,” Wojnarowski said.
Earlier this week, the Hawks fired Nate McMillan. The fact that Snyder is already in talks to become their next head coach shows how much teams in the NBA value him.
A solid portion of the basketball world believes Snyder would be a strong hire for the Hawks.

It’s certainly possible that Snyder is the right coach to take Trae Young’s game to the next level.
Snyder was the head coach of the Jazz from 2014-2022. He won 372 games during that stretch.
