Alongside the other draft picks that the Nets have this year, Gonzalez certainly has the potential to be a valuable player for the team. Every team needs players who can be a high-level 3-and-D wing, and Gonzalez can be that with development to his shooting. If Gonzalez can reach his potential, then Brooklyn will have a steal of a player.
Gonzalez himself will benefit from being drafted to Brooklyn. Namely, Gonzalez will see his development prioritized over winning and he will have time to develop.
