The Atlanta Hawks have let rival teams know that Jalen Johnson is considered virtually untouchable in trade talks. Johnson had a breakout season last year, but struggled with injury. In a mostly healthy season so far, the young forward’s play has gone to a new level.
Johnson has averaged career-highs nearly across the board in his fifth season. The 6-foot-8 forward has averaged 23.2 points, 10.5 rebounds and 8.0 assists per game. Johnson has shooting splits of 53/39/81 this season.
The Hawks also highly value the pick that they acquired from the New Orleans Pelicans at least year’s draft. That pick is the best of the Pelicans and Bucks pick, with the worst of those two picks going to the Bucks. Atlanta acquired this pick when New Orleans traded back into the draft to select Derik Queen.
