A disaster of a game, and really week, of Hawks basketball.
The Hawks juggled their rotation for tonight’s Raptors contest based on the available players they had. Out was Jalen Johnson and De’Andre Hunter and in were Larry Nance Jr. — who started at the 4 with a wrap on his shooting hand — and Clint Capela.
Could Atlanta snap their three-game losing streak despite — you know — everything?
This Dyson Daniels cut helped the cause.

The Hawks continue from there to click on both ends of the floor. Onyeka Okongwu, in particular, has led the ball movement revolution by recording three assists in the first five minutes of game action. But of course, his bread and butter is being on the finishing end of dimes.

Vit Krejci was also near automatic from the field in the first quarter, but a pristine 3-for-3 from three.

The Hawks slowed down with their bench unit in, and as a result they had to settle for a 27-22 lead after one quarter.
The Hawks hit the skids after that, however, with a Daniels floater with 3:53 left in the first quarter clock their last field goal until 8:25 remaining in the second quarter.
Once the drought was broken, however, the Hawks found their flow and create their own source of energy.

But then the Hawks hit another rough patch and lost the lead for good heading into the half.
The Hawks trailed at the half 55-48.
Trae Young, in particular, struggled that half going just 3-for-9 from the field and logging no assists to four turnovers. Onyeka Okongwu and Vit Krejci did their best to pick up the slack with 15 points on seven shots plus five assists and 12 points on seven shots plus four assists from them respectively.
The start of the second half was very sluggish, and the Hawks were lucky the Raptors didn’t pull away from them. Atlanta looked a step slow on defense and completely discombobulated on offense.
Halfway through the quarter, and it looked like the Hawks first time picking up a basketball this morning. They couldn’t generate any offense, including Bogdan Bogdanovic who began the game 0-for-6.
Larry Nance may have reaggravated his hand as well on a layup attempt late in the third quarter. He was quickly replaced with Clint Capela.
After three quarters, Atlanta found themselves behind 86-70.
The fourth quarter began with a Daeqwon Plowden appearance after his 7-for-8 shooting night a week ago. The Hawks very briefly brought the lead down to just a couple of possessions, but that stretch was short-lived, and the game was never in doubt for Toronto after that.
The Hawks lost, 117-94.
Vit Krejci finished with 20 points on 6-for-13 shooting including six threes. Atlanta will next play in Minnesota on Monday evening.
