The Atlanta Hawks have agreed to trade Kobe Bufkin to the Brooklyn Nets for cash considerations. Bufkin was the 15th overall pick in the 2023 NBA draft out of Michigan.
Bufkin played in just 10 games last season with the Hawks, averaging 5.3 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 12.4 minutes. During Bufkin’s rookie season, he averaged 23.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.9 assists in 32.0 minutes across 14 G League games.
The Hawks create a roster spot with the transaction, while the Nets have now reached the minimum salary floor and also maintain $11.6 million in cap space.
