The Sacramento Kings have talked with the Atlanta Hawks about trading for John Collins. At this point, the Kings have reportedly not offered the #4 overall pick for Collins.
The Kings are asking a steep price from teams looking to move up to #4. Sacramento is comfortable keeping that pick and selecting a player for themselves.
Atlanta has been rumored to have Collins on the market since the season ended. The Hawks are facing an increasingly expensive roster after signing several players to extensions in recent seasons. Collins and his $23-$25 million per year salary have him someone that Atlanta is open to move to clear up their salary sheet a bit.
