Atlanta Hawks center Kristaps Porzingis is moving towards a return from illness. Porzingis will miss Monday’s game at the Oklahoma City Thunder, but will be considered day-to-day after that.
Porzingis has missed 14 of the Hawks last 15 games with recurrence of an unspecified illness. This illness is reportedly unrelated to the postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), which the veteran big man was previously diagnosed with.
In the 13 games Porzingis has played for Atlanta this season, he’s been a productive starter. The 10-year veteran has averaged 19.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.6 blocks per game in his first season with the Hawks.
