On that day, the Hawks will get their first opportunity to see how their new pieces mesh in a real game and whether they’re truly going to be a problem for opponents, or if they just look that way on paper. At the same time, the bar has been raised for the old guard.
Hawks head coach Quin Snyder had a much-needed heart-to-heart with franchise star Trae Young, who knows he needs to improve his efficiency, first and foremost. Though coming off of a breakout season, Dyson Daniels is looking to take his offense to another level. Then there’s Jalen Johnson, who has been emerging as Young’s second-in-command.
