Snitker.
Brian Snitker woke up on Friday morning and decided Alex Verdugo, who is batting .200 with a 34 wRC+ over the last six weeks and was seemingly benched for the final two games of the Brewers series, should bat second in his lineup against the Colorado Rockies on Friday night.
The rest of the order remains mostly the same, with Sean Murphy getting the start behind the dish and Matt Olson batting cleanup behind a slumping Austin Riley.

Lineup decisions be damned, this is a series the Braves flat-out need to win three games in. It’s a dangerous ride to say a team needs to sweep an opponent, but, frankly, if the Braves are going to climb out of this hole, they need three wins against the 13-56 Rockies.
First pitch tonight is set for 7:15 p.m. ET from Truist Park.
