Hurston Waldrep looks to continue to right the ship after a rough start to his 2025 season. His last start came on April 25th when he gave up just two earned runs over 4.2 innings of work but also surrendered seven hits and four walks while only striking out three.
The Stripers collected four runs on nine hits last night and it was Jarred Kelenic who set the tone atop the lineup once again – going 2-for-4 with a run scored. Garrett Cooper and Matthew Batten are two of the hottest hitters in Gwinnett, both collecting a pair of hits yesterday as well.
If they have a lead, it will be interesting to see if the Stripers turn to Craig Kimbrel on back-to-back nights as he picked up the save yesterday while giving up a hit and a walk.
Nashville Sounds @ Gwinnett Stripers – TBD
Probable Starters
NSH: TBD
GWN: TBD
Game two of the double header will likely start 45 minutes after the conclusion of game one. It remains to be seen who will be pitching for either team, and the lineups are a complete toss up as well as you have to get through game one.

Probable Starters
BIL: Abdiel Mendoza, 0-1 6.32 ERA
COL: TBD
Once again Columbus hits us with the TBD when it comes to pitching probables. Yesterday it was Jhancarlos Lara who walked six. The offense collected five runs on ten hits with Drew Compton and Ethan Workinger doing a bulk of the heaving lifting – both collecting a pair of hits each. David McCabe continues to get on base as he is now slashing .290/.444/.419 after a single and walk performance yesterday. The Clingstones also got much needed production from Kevin Kilpatrick Jr., and Keshawn Ogans at the bottom of the lineup.
Hub City Spartanburgers @ Rome Emperors – 7:00 PM ET
Streaming | Radio
Probable Starters
HBC: Kolton Curtis, 0-0 6.75 ERA
ROM: Adam Maier, 1-1 5.30 ERA
Adam Maier gets the ball and looks to continue his excellent work from his last start where he went seven innings and allowed just one earned run and struck out five while walking three. He will be backed up by a team desperate for offense as the Emperors had just two hits last night in their 1-0 loss. E.J. Exposito, while going 0-for-2, collected two more walks and is now slashing .345/.486/.690. Will Verdung collected the only two hits last night and is now hitting .286/.367/.329 in 19 games. Ambioris Tavarez looks to end his slide as he went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts last night.
Augusta GreenJackets @ Kannapolis Cannon Ballers – 6:30 PM ET
Streaming | Radio
Probable Starters
AUG: Logan Samuels, 0-0 1.17 ERA
KAN: Justin Sinibaldi, 0-1 7.71 ERA
Braves 2024 8th round pick Logan Samuels is on the mound and looks to rebound from his worst outing of the year (I’m not kidding) where he gave up three hits and one earned run in four innings of work. On the season, Samuels has yet to record a decision however has a 1.17 ERA, 9.39 K/9 and 2.35 BB/9 rate.
The GreenJackets offense will look to rebound after being two hit last night likely with John Gil, Owen Carey, Eric Hartman, and Isaiah Drake leading the charge. Mac Guscette, who started the season on an absolute tear, has slowed down just a bit however did go 0-for-2 with a pair of walks yesterday and is now hitting .283/.382/.500.
