Baldwin and Verdugo re-enter the lineup after Eli White and Sean Murphy respectively started in left and center to end the series in New York.
The lineups for tonight’s series opener between the Atlanta Braves and the Philadelphia Phillies have been released for both teams. The Braves aren’t exactly going for a reinvention with their lineup for tonight’s game but it’s still worth talking about and looking at, right? Let’s not waste anymore time and get right into it.

Aside from Drake Baldwin and Alex Verdugo re-entering the lineup in lieu of Sean Murphy and Eli White, this lineup is identical to the one that the Braves rolled out for their series finale in New York. Drake Baldwin has taken his opportunity as a rookie and ran with it, as he’s hitting .287/.356/.484 so far with 9 home runs and 135 wRC+ for the season. I am not going to share Alex Verdugo’s numbers with you because it’s Friday and I’m having a good day.
Meanwhile, here’s Philadelphia’s lineup for tonight’s game:

J.T. Realmuto is in the lineup after he started the last game the Phillies played on Thursday against Houston. In fact, he’s the only new face in the entire and the top five of Philadelphia’s order is identical to what it was yesterday. Both teams are sticking with their familiar faces for this contest.
Tonight’s game is scheduled to start at 7:15 p.m. ET.
