Here’s hoping Atlanta doesn’t fall victim to any of that Cardinals devil magic.
It is the last series before the All-Star break for the Atlanta Braves and thus bringing an end to the metaphorical first-half of the 2025 season.
After dropping the three-game match-up against the Athletics in Sacramento, the Braves head east to take on the St. Louis Cardinals.
The Cardinals are dead-center in the National League Central and just outside the final Wild Card spot, but within spitting distance of the post-season. They’ve been pretty good on offense and pretty good on the mound and that has lead to a pretty good season. How’s that for some expert analysis?
You know the deal for Atlanta, they are the fourth-worst team in the National League and the only headlines the are making is about who they will or won’t trade before the end of July.
A sweep would be great. A win would be good. Taking one-out-of-three might be realistic given that Atlanta has TBA for the starting pitcher on both Saturday and Sunday.
It ain’t over ‘til it’s over, so who knows, maybe the time is now for that run we’ve been waiting on the Braves to make since April. At the very least, it make for three non-late night games, so that’s a plus.
