Storm’s a-comin’.
The weather forecast for tonight’s regularly scheduled game between the Atlanta Braves and Washington Nationals was always looking pretty spotty. As it turned out, it was too spotty for baseball to be played on this particular evening. The Nationals have announced that tonight’s game has officially been postponed due to inclement weather.
Tonight’s game has been postponed due to rain and rescheduled as part of a split doubleheader on Tuesday, Sept. 16.
Game 1–today’s scheduled game, will begin at 1:05 p.m. ET. Game 2–the originally scheduled Sept. 16 game–will begin at 6:45 p.m. ET.

If you’re thinking “Wow, the Braves don’t see the Nationals again until September,” then that’s a very good thought to have. I’d say it’s definitely a very big scheduling quirk to have two divisional rivals not see each other outside of two weeks in May and two weeks in September but that’s another topic for another website on another day. The point is that this one won’t be made up for a good, long while but as Ivan The Great would put it, that’s one less game the Braves get to play without Ronald Acuña Jr. and one more game that the Braves get to play with Acuña, so this could end up working out for the Braves in the long run.
Anyways, join us tomorrow night at 6:45 p.m. ET for the finale of what is now a two-game series between the Braves and the Nationals.
