The Braves will have no players go to arbitration this winter after agreeing to a one-year deal with A.J. Minter.

The Atlanta Braves have also avoided arbitration with lefty reliever A.J. Minter after reaching an agreement on a one-year deal worth $6.22 million. The Braves previously reached a deal with Max Fried and will have no players go to arbitration this offseason. Minter was projected for a $6.5 million salary per MLB Trade Rumors.

Minter was again a workhorse for the Braves out of the bullpen in 2023 appearing in 70 games while posting a 3.76 ERA and a 2.90 FIP in 64 2⁄3 innings. Like Fried, he is in his final year of arbitration and will be a free agent at the end of the 2024 season.

The Braves began the offseason with 13 players that were eligible for salary arbitration, but whittled that list down to just two ahead of Thursday’s deadline. The team reached a one-year agreement with Huascar Ynoa on January 5.

Update – The Braves have announced a one-year deal for Minter.

The #Braves today signed LHP Max Fried ($15 million) and LHP A.J. Minter ($6.22 million) to one-year contracts for the 2024 season.
