Atlanta’s returns home worse for the wear to face Boston.
The Atlanta Braves return home after a costly series against the Philadelphia Phillies that saw them lose the series and starting pitcher AJ Smith-Shawver and outfielder Stuart Fairchild for a period of time due to injury. Now, they return to Truist Park to face the Boston Red Sox – one day after splitting a double-header against the Phillies.
The Braves took two-out-of-three games two weekends ago in Boston and looked good doing so. Hopefully, facing the Red Sox in another three-game series can be an elixir they need after struggling mightily since leaving Beantown.
Boston, like Atlanta, continues to scuffle with both teams coming into this weekend below the .500 mark. Both teams need a jolt in the right direction with the odds of either team winning their respective division getting longer by-the-day.
For the Braves, their home stand will continue after playing the Red Sox with the floundering Arizona Diamondbacks coming to town.
Here are the start times for each of this weekend’s games against Boston.
- Friday, May 30 – 7:15PM EDT
- Saturday, May 31 – 4:10PM EDT
- Sunday, June 1 – 1:45PM EDT
