Nathan Wiles looks to lead the Stripers to some revenge after an embarrassing performance by the Stripers yesterday

(32-21) Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp vs (21-32) Gwinnett Stripers – 7:05 PM ET

Pitching Probables

JAX: Adam Mazur, 2-4 3.68 ERA

GWI: Nathan Wiles, 1-4 2.68 ERA

After managing to not only get swept, but also produce more errors than hits – there isn’t much to report here in terms of players to watch for the Gwinnett Stripers. Nathan Wiles has yet to allow more than 3 runs in any single start and has looked very solid in a Stripers jersey – look for him to try to continue the trend against a really good Jumbo Shrimp team who now trot out Adam Mazur against the Stripers.

(21-23) Columbus Clingstones vs (22-22) Chattanooga Lookouts – 5:15 PM ET

Pitching Probables

COL: TBD

CHA: TBD

After rain postponed a pair of games, the Clingstones look to play 5 games over the next 3 days. We likely won’t know who they are pitching until moments before first pitch as they figure out how to navigate this weird situation. That said, much like the Stripers the Clingstones offense has struggled a bit of late. With David McCabe and Ethan Workinger slumping, there hasn’t really been a force at the top of the lineup to set up the rest of the roster and as a result the Clingstones have been struggling to score runs. The hottest hitter on the roster right now is likely Drew Compton who is hitting .367/.411/.538 over his last 14 games. Pitching will likely be the name of the game for this double header.

(21-23) Columbus Clingstones vs (22-22) Chattanooga Lookouts – Game 2

Pitching Probables

COL: TBD

CHA: TBD

(20-27) Asheville Tourists vs (24-23) Rome Emperors – 7:00 PM ET

Pitching Probables

ASH: Brett Gillis, 1-1 3.38 ERA

ROM: Logan Samuels, 0-1 5.63 ERA

Logan Samuels makes his third start for the Rome Emperors and is trying to turn it around after a three walk effort his last time out. While he has limited the hits this season he hasn’t been able to go longer than five innings, which he accomplished just one time this season. Since being promoted Logan is allowing hitters to hit .259/.394/.370 against him which has resulted in a rough 5.63 ERA for the Emperors.

After exploding for nine runs two games ago, the Emperors offense was shut down yesterday – scoring just two runs on eight hits in their loss. Will Verdung is by far the hottest hitter on the team as he now is hitting .302 with a .758 OPS on the season. While nobody jumps out at you, right now, there have been quality ABs and good development across the roster with Patrick Clohisy, Titus Dumitru, Janas, Horne, and Tavarez all improving significantly compared to last season.

(25-21) Augusta GreenJackets vs (18-28) Myrtle Beach Pelicans – 7:05 PM ET

Pitching Probables

AUG: Jeremy Reyes, 0-2 2.03 ERA

MBP: TBD

Jeremy Reyes leads the charge for the GreenJackets against the Pelicans. Reyes, who is coming back from injury, has yet to pitch more than 4.2 innings in a single game this year, and was removed after just 48 pitches in his last start. There’s no denying the success he’s had on the mound as he has given up more than one earned run in just one start this season but look for him to start hopefully lasting longer in the game.

As always, the GreenJackets offense features a ton of offensive firepower John Gil, Owen Carey, the surging Isaiah Drake, Colby Jones, Nick Montgomery, and now the recently re-promoted Carlos Monteverde.

(8-10) FCL Pirates vs (7-11) FCL Braves

Pitching Probables

PIR: TBD

BRA: TBD

The Braves are out for revenge after losing to the Pirates on Tuesday. Jose Perdomo, Diego Benitez, Mario Baez, Juan Mateo, and Robert Gonzalez are a few players to keep an eye on.
