Blake Burkhalter has had a strong 2025 and takes to the mound against the Smokies of Knoxville

(35-28) Memphis Redbirds @ (25-40) Gwinnett Stripers – 7:05 PM ET

Pitching Probables

MEM: Quinn Mathews (1-2, 4.50 ERA)

GWI: Zach Thompson (1-2, 3.00 ERA)

The Stripers look to make it two in a row following yesterday’s win and turn to Zach Thompson who will be making his fifth start and overall 9th appearance on the season. The stripers exploded for 11 runs on 13 hits yesterday and it was the quartet of Carlos Rodríguez (3-for-4, HR, 2 RBI), James McCann (2-for-4, 2B, 2 RBI), Eddys Leonard (2-for-4, 2B, 2RBI), and Matthew Batten (2-for-5, RBI) that showed up in a big way all driving in at least one run on at least two hits. Hopefully the slumping Jarred Kelenic can turn things around as Jarred has hit .109/.180/.152 over his last 13 games.

(26-32) Knoxville Smokies @ (25-30) Columbus Clingstones – 7:05 PM ET

Pitching Probables

KNO: Sam Armstrong (1-4, 4.88 ERA)

COL: Blake Burkhalter (1-4, 3.35 ERA)

The Clingstones look to make it three in a row as Blake Burkhalter takes the mound against the Knoxville Smokies. Blake has not given up more than three runs in a start since May 2nd and looks to keep the Clingstones in the game and give the offense a chance to shine. That offense scored six runs on nine hits yesterday and were lead by Ethan Workinger (3-for-4, HR, 2B, 2 RBI) and David McCabe (3-for-4). E.J. Exposito continued to swing a hot bat as he also went 1-for-4 and is hitting .429 (.929 OPS) since being promoted to the Clingstones.

(39-19) Greensboro Grasshoppers @ (27-32) Rome Emperors – 7:00 PM ET

Pitching Probables

GRN: Connor Wietgrefe (0-2, 6.32 ERA)

ROM: Jacob Kroeger (0-0, -.— ERA)

Jacob Kroeger will be making his Rome debut as the Emperors welcome the red hot Grasshoppers to game 3 of the series. Jacob is coming off of back-to-back-to-back fantastic starts as he gave up three total earned runs over 15 innings of work while striking out 20 and walking 0. The Emperors will need all the help they can get as the Grasshoppers bring a well rounded club to the table and counter with Connor Wiegrefe who has struggled to start the season. Rome is coming off of a game where they score five runs on nine hits but it wasn’t enough as they gave up nine runs themselves. A rehabbing Luke Waddell, Patrick Clohisy, Will Verdung, and Justin Janas are the four key bats to watch for the Emperors.

(30-27) Augusta GreenJackets @ (29-30) Charleston RiverDogs – 7:05 PM ET

Pitching Probables

AUG: Owen Hackman (1-3, 5.28 ERA)

CHA: Ryan Andrade (4-2, 3.00 ERA)

The GreenJackets look to get back into the win column and turn to Owen Hackman to turn things around. They were in line to win yesterday but Seth Keller had a bit of an implosion and gave up four earned runs over the final two innings to seal the deal for the RiverDogs. The GreenJackets are led, offensively, by John Gil, Owen Carey, Isaiah Drake, Nick Montgomery, and the surging Mason Guerra who is up to an .815 OPS.

(13-15) FCL Red Sox @ (10-17) FCL Braves – 12:00 PM ET

Pitching Probables

RED: TBD

BRA: TBD

The FCL Braves roster boasts some of the biggest wildcards in the organization with the likes of Manuel Dos Passos, Mario Baez, Juan Mateo, Jose Perdomo, Junior Garcia, Robert Gonzalez, and Carlos Monteverde.

(4-3) DSL Braves @ (3-4) DSL Red Sox Blue – 11:00 AM ET

Pitching Probables

BRA: TBD

RED: TBD

Diego Tornes, and Juan Espinal are the two biggest names on the DSL roster as both have received significant bonuses. Catcher Johan Rodriguez has played extremely well – hitting .333/.385/.375 with a pair of stolen bases in six games.
