The Stripers lost both ends of a doubleheader last night, 8-1 and 8-3, and return to an intriguing pitching matchup. Cardinals prospect Michael McGreevy has been excellent this year for Memphis, while Hurston Waldrep has been up and down with his performance. The player to watch for Gwinnett is Nacho Alvarez, who was two for three with a double and two walks in his season debut for the Stripers after just coming off his rehab assignment. He, Jarred Kelenic, Carlos Rodriguez, and James McCann will be the guys tasked with getting the offense going on Saturday.

They’ll turn to Adam Maier today and have the rehabbing Luke Waddell and Jose Devers in the lineup as well as the usual standouts in Patrick Clohisy, Will Verdung, and Ambioris Tavarez.

The stars of the Augusta lineup remain John Gil, Owen Carey, and Isaiah Drake, though Nick Montgomery has shown some flashes with homers over the past week.
