Davis Daniel gets the start for the Stripers
(29-47) Gwinnett Stripers @ (31-43) Norfolk Tide – 6:35 PM ET
Pitching Probables
GWI: Davis Daniel (4-5, 3.28 ERA)
NOR: Roansy Contreras (3-2, 3.98 ERA)
Gwinnett is looking to bounce back from yesterday’s loss and turn to Davis Daniel to right the ship. Davis is coming off an OK outing against the Charlotte Knights (5.2IP 5H 1ER 4BB 6K) as he gave up just one earned run but walked four. Despite the solid start for Hurston, the Stripers fell due to collecting just one total hit by Nacho Alvarez Jr. That said, players to watch include the rehabbing Jurickson Profar, Nacho Alvarez Jr., Carlos Rodriguez, and Luke Waddell. Jarred Kelenic has been struggling since being sent down and is hitting .200 with a .593 OPS.
(42-28) Biloxi Shuckers @ (27-40) Columbus Clingstones – 7:05 PM ET
Pitching Probables
BIL: K.C. Hunt (4-4, 4.61 ERA)
COL: TBD
Columbus looks to build off of last night’s win as they take on K.C. Hunt and the Biloxi Shuckers. The Clingstones got eight stellar innings (8IP 5H 0R 0BB 7K) from Ian Mejia and a homer from Ethan Workinger to help solidify the win. Players to watch for the Clingstones include Ethan Workinger, Drew Compton, and David McCabe. E.J. Exposito has struggled since the promotion and is hitting .167 with a .473 OPS since being moved to Columbus.
(34-36) Greenville Drive @ (31-38) Rome Emperors – 7:00 PM ET
Pitching Probables
GRN: Blake Aita (0-1, 2.08 ERA)
ROM: Jacob Kroeger (0-1, 2.79 ERA)
Augusta will be looking to add on from yesterday’s 2-1 win as they welcome the Greenville Drive. Getting the ball will be Jacob Kroeger who was really good in his second start with the Emperors (4IP 1H 0R 2BB 4K) last week. Patrick Clohisy had the lone multi-hit game yesterday in the Emperors win so look for him, Titus Dumitru, Will Verdung, Justin Janas, Ambioris Tavarez, and the recently promoted Mason Guerra to help lead the charge in hopefully another Rome win.
(35-33) Augusta GreenJackets @ (37-33) Fayetteville Woodpeckers – 6:35 PM ET
Pitching Probables
AUG: Justin Militello (0-0, 2.25 ERA)
FYT: TBD
Augusta will be out for revenge for yesterday’s loss as they head to Fayeteville. Justin Militello will be making his second start for the GreenJackets after have started the season with the FCL Braves. The GreenJackets were limited to just six hits yesterday, with half of them coming from Isaiah Drake so look for him, as well as John Gil, Owen Carey, Luis Guanipa, Colby Jones, and Nick Montgomery to get things going in a hopeful GreenJackets victory.
