The Atlanta Braves farm system will see both JR Ritchie and Cam Caminiti make starts on Saturday night.
Gwinnett Stripers at Norfolk Tide – 6:35 PM ET
Pitching Probables
GWI: TBD
NOR: Thaddeus Ward (5-5, 6.92 ERA)
The Stripers won last night 6-4 behind a solid outing from Nathan Wiles and a big day at the plate from Jurickson Profar. Profar was two for two with a double and two walks, reaching base four of five plate appearances with a sac fly in the fifth. Eddy Alvarez also added a pair of doubles in the win. Profar is the guy to watch here, with his OPS up to 1.006 in 10 games, as he hopes to be ready to join the Braves riding a hot streak when his suspension ends.
Biloxi Shuckers at Columbus Clingstones – 6:05 PM ET
Pitching Probables
BIL: Tate Kuehner (5-4, 2.85 ERA)
COL: JR Ritchie (0-2, 3.86 ERA)
Columbus is coming off a tough 3-0 loss where they managed just two hits last night. However with JR Ritchie on the mound, this is a must watch game. Ritchie has been very good in the six starts since his promotion, posting a 3.86 ERA and 1.11 WHIP while striking out exactly one batter per inning. With a little offense from David McCabe and Drew Compton, hopefully the Clingstones can get Ritchie his first Double-A win tonight.
Greenville Drive at Rome Emperors – 5:00 PM ET – Game 1
Pitching Probables:
GRN: TBD
ROM: Adam Maier (3-5, 5.00 ERA)
Greenville Drive at Rome Emperors – TBD – Game 2
Pitching Probables:
GRN: TBD
ROM: TBD
Rome is coming off a rain out on Friday night, and is hoping to bounce back from Thursday’s loss. Patrick Clohisy, Ambioris Tavarez, Titus Dumitru, and the recently promoted Mason Guerra are among the Emperors bats to watch in this one.
Augusta GreenJackets at Fayetteville Woodpeckers – 7:05 PM ET
Pitching Probables
AUG: Cam Caminiti (0-1, 3.18 ERA)
FYT: TBD
The GreenJackets took the loss last night, but it seems that Luis Guanipa may be finding his footing in Low-A after his slow start and then lengthy injury. Guanipa came through with a pair of hits in four at bats last night, making him three for seven with a walk over his last two games. The guy to watch in this one is actually Cam Caminiti, who has sandwiched two strong starts around his one rough outing – a game he got knocked out of early due to the heat.
FCL Braves vs FCL Rays – 11:00 AM ET
Pitching Probables
BRA: TBD
RAY: TBD
The FCL Braves took another loss yesterday, but on the positive side a slumping Jose Perdomo had two hits – including a double in the game. Perdomo has hit .180 with a .453 OPS this month, but now has hits in his last four games.
DSL Braves vs DSL Red Sox – 10:00 AM ET
Pitching Probables
SOX: TBD
BRA: TBD
The DSL Braves won again yesterday, led by a Michael Martinez homer. The 18-year-old now has a .996 OPS on the year as he seems to be figuring out the DSL after a rough go of it in 2024. Of course the man to watch is top prospect Diego Tornes, who had a hit and a walk in the win, and now has a .919 OPS.
