Gwinnett Stripers at Nashville Sound – 7:35 PM ET
Pitching Probables
NAS: Bruce Zimmermann, 3-3 5.98 ERA
GWI: Nathan Wiles, 1-4 2.33 ERA
The Atlanta Braves top affiliate is back in action after an 8-4 loss yesterday, thanks to four runs in the bottom of the eighth. Hurston Waldrep had a mixed performance in that game while the bottom of the order came through to keep the Striper offense in the game for much of the evening. Matthew Batten doubled twice out of the seventh spot in the lineup, while six-hitter Cade Bunnell and eight-hole man Sandy Leon added a double apiece. Combined the trio was five for 10 with two walks, three runs scored, and two batted in during the loss. As always keep an eye on Jarred Kelenic and Carlos Rodriguez as the most interesting pieces.
Today the Stripers turn to Nathan Wiles for the start, and Wiles has been excellent all year with a 2.33 ERA and 1.06 WHIP through his first nine starts of a season which earned him a chance to make his big league debut.
