Blake Burkhalter looks to continue his strong season and extend the Clingstones winning streak to 3.
(37-44) St. Paul Saints @ (33-50) Gwinnett Stripers – 7:05 PM ET
Pitching Probables
STP: Cory Lewis (1-4, 7.94 ERA)
GWI: Nathan Wiles (3-7, 3.08 ERA)
The Stripers scored 2 late to win last night and now turn to Nathan Wiles to keep it going for the Stripers. Wiles was okay in his last start (5IP 4H 3ER 4BB 7K, 2 HR) but has been solid throughout the season for the Stripers despite what that 3-7 record may indicate. For the Stripers to be success they need their top of the lineup to succeed – Jarred Kelenic (.601 OPS), José Devers (.677 OPS), Carlos Rodríguez (.706 OPS), and Luke Waddell (.757 OPS).
(30-44) Columbus Clingstones @ (44-33) Montgomery Biscuits – 7:35 PM ET
Pitching Probables
COL: Blake Burkhalter (2-5, 3.29 ERA)
MNT: TBD
The Clingstones, fresh off a double header sweep, turn to Blake Burkhalter after pushing him back one day. Blake was good in his last start (5.1IP 4H 1ER 3BB 7K), and has been solid all season with his very promising cutter. The top 4 of the Clingstones offense provide the most upside on the team, however each have been struggling of late. E.J. Exposito (.423 OPS), Ethan Workinger (.706 OPS), David McCabe (.737 OPS), and Drew Compton (.699 OPS) provide the most potential, along with Geraldo Quintero.
(40-35) Bowling Green Hot Rods @ (34-41) Rome Emperors – 6:05 PM ET
Pitching Probables
BWL: TBD
ROM: Jacob Kroeger (0-2, 2.30 ERA)
The Emperors look to continue the momentum from yesterday’s walk off win as they turn to Jacob Kroeger against the Hot Rods. In his last start (6IP 1H 1ER 3BB 5K) looked great against the Greenville Drive. Patrick Clohisy (.676 OPS), Mason Guerra (.615 OPS), Will Verdung (.709 OPS), and Ambioris Tavarez (.647 OPS) lead the charge offensively.
(40-37) Columbia Fireflies @ (37-38) Augusta GreenJackets – 6:35 PM ET
Pitching Probables
COL: Hiro Wyatt (1-3, 4.21 ERA)
AUG: Owen Hackman (1-4, 4.75 ERA)
The GreenJackets turn to Owen Hackman to rebound from yesterday’s rough loss where the GreenJackets offense had just one hit. Owen gave up four earned runs in his last start (5IP 10H 4ER 1BB 1K). The GreenJackets offense has been slumping of late but still have lots of players to watch including: John Gil (.607 OPS), Owen Carey (.684 OPS), Eric Hartman (.716 OPS), Luis Guanipa (.544 OPS), Isaiah Drake (.676 OPS), and Colby Jones (.598 OPS).
(15-27) FCL Braves @ (19-24) FCL Pirates – 12:00 PM ET
Pitching Probables
BRA: TBD
PIR: TBD
The FCL Braves will be looking to get back in the win column after dropping their last game against the FCL Red Sox. With Eric Hartman back with the Augusta GreenJackets along with Luis Guanipa, the Braves will need a return to form from Jose Perdomo who is down to a .511 OPS on the season. Juan Mateo continues to be their most consistent hitter and has been quite versatile – playing multiple positions around the infield. On the whole, the FCL Braves need more production from a majority of their lineup including Carlos Monteverde, Robert Gonzalez, and Dalton McIntyre.
(11-10) DSL Braves @ (6-14) DSL LAD Mega – 11:00 AM ET
Pitching Probables
BRA: TBD
LAD: TBD
The potent DSL Braves offense take on the slumping LAD Mega. The DSL offense is led by Diego Tornes (.890 OPS), Michael Martinez (1.015 OPS), and Juan Espinal (.821 OPS).
