A bittersweet day for the Braves.
On Monday, the Braves were finally able to put together one of their most complete games of the season. Chris Sale was sensational, the offense showed of its power potential, and the bullpen did well (with what little it was needed) in a 7-1 victory over the Brewers. While the Braves have had plenty of struggles as of late, finally getting a win has to be a good feeling. Hopefully, this will the first of many wins this week for Atlanta.

It was also a noteworthy day off the field. As was expected, AJ Smith Shawver underwent Tommy John Surgery on his pitching elbow. He will be out for the rest of the season. Infield prospect Nacho Alvarez will begin a rehab assignment. He has be out since Spring Training with a wrist injury.
Following the dominance of Chris Sale on Monday, the Braves are hoping this is where the momentum can begin to turnaround their season.
