Smith-Shawver went on to start Tuesday’s game against the Colorado Rockies. He turned in 5.1 innings of two-run ball. He walked one and struck out five.
Unfortunately, he exited the game in the sixth after taking a 105 mph line drive off the arm. There has not yet been an update on his status, but hopefully, he will be just fine.
