The Atlanta Braves came from behind again Wednesday to score a 5-4 win over the Houston Astros in extra innings. The victory completed a three-game sweep for Atlanta, improving their record for the season to 12-5. The Braves went 5-1 on the trip and will return home Friday where they will begin a nine-game homestand.
Max Fried allowed three runs over five innings and Atlanta rallied back from a 4-2 deficit. Marcell Ozuna extended his hitting streak to 16-games with his eighth home run of the season in the second inning. Ronald Acuña Jr. hit his first home run of the season. Orlando Arcia’s sacrifice fly in the 10th was the difference.

Ozzie Albies is the third Braves player to land on the injured list since the start of the 2024 season. Albies suffered a broken toe in Monday’s series opening win against the Houston Astros. MLB.com’s Mark Bowman reports that an MRI exam confirmed that Albies won’t need surgery and the team is hoping that he will be ready to return in about two weeks.
