It was a less than ideal night for the Atlanta Braves, who were shutout by the Philadelphia Phillies 13-0. Bryce Elder got the ball and went just two innings. In those two frames, he allowed ten runs. It marked another mediocre start for Elder – his third in a row.
Offensively, the Braves racked up nine hits but were unable to plate a run.
The club looks to break their three game skid behind Spencer Schwellenbach tonight at 7:15 ET.

New York Mets right-hander Griffin Canning suffered a ruptured Achilles and has been placed on the 60-day injured list. He underwent surgery Friday morning.
