The Atlanta Braves suffered another series loss after they fell 5-1 to the Los Angeles Angels on Thursday night.
Bryce Elder got the start and put together another lackluster performance. He went five innings, allowing eight hits with three walks and five strikeouts. He was charged with four of the Angels’ runs.
Thursday’s outing marked Elder’s third consecutive loss, and across those three games, he’s allowed 18 runs.
The Braves look to get back on track this evening as Spencer Strider faces the Baltimore Orioles.

Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Max Muncy is on the 10-day injured list with a bone bruise. His MRI was clean, but he is still expected to miss about six weeks.
The New York Mets placed right-hander Paul Blackburn on the 15-day injured list with a right shoulder impingement. The move is backdated to June 30. The club also placed righty Dedniel Nuñez on the 15-day injured list with a right elbow sprain.
Cleveland Guardians right-hander Luis Ortiz has been placed on leave due to an investigation pertaining to gambling.
