Atlanta Braves news and notes from Wednesday
Well the Braves secured a series victory over the Mets behind the reigning Cy Young winner and the former MVP. It’s big for Atlanta to get the series victory here and would be huge to secure the sweep tomorrow, after disappointingly missing the sweep on the Rockies. Still well below .500, the Braves have to stack wins and fast, so a sweep of their division rival would be a huge result. They are in the middle of a critical stretch of division games and not far off from the trade deadline. They could find themselves sellers pretty easily, despite what Alex Anthopoulos said if they can’t go on a run here, but they seem like they are starting to take care of business. Time will tell if they can escape the hole they dug.

Chris Sale pitched an absolute gem, while Acuna and Olson went yard in a comfortable 5-0 victory over the Mets.
