
Atlanta Braves news and notes from Friday.
On Friday night, the Atlanta Braves sent out the youngest pitcher in Major League Baseball for his big league debut. Didier Fuentes, 20, got the start against the Miami Marlins. Unfortunately, things did not go in his favor and Miami won the contest 6-2.

Fuentes went five innings and surrendered four runs. He walked one and struck out three. He showed off some velocity but made one bad pitch in the third innings to give up a three-run shot.
The series continues this afternoon at 4:10 ET with Grant Holmes on the bump.

The St. Louis Cardinals placed C/DH Ivan Herrera on the 10-day injured list with a left hamstring strain. Herrera’s strain was diagnosed as a Grade 2.
After being placed on the injured list Thursday, Arizona Diamondbacks catcher Gabriel Moreno was diagnosed with a fractured finger. Additionally, reliever A.J. Puk underwent elbow surgery.
Pittsburgh Pirates reliever Dennis Santana received a four-game suspension after aggressive conduct with a fan.
The Cincinnati Reds placed left-hander Wade Miley on the 15-day injured list with a flexor strain. The move is retroactive to June 17.
The Chicago White Sox placed right-hander Davis Martin on the 15-day IL due to a forearm strain, backdated to June 17th.
