The Atlanta Braves announced Friday that left-hander Dylan Dodd had been recalled prior to this weekend’s clash with the Boston Red Sox. This move followed Bryce Elder’s demotion to Triple-A Gwinnett.

The southpaw has not yet made an appearance for the Braves this year. He has appeared in 16 games for Gwinnett, though, where he owns a 5.74 ERA through 15.2 innings.
Since he has options remaining, Dodd is expected to be sent back down upon Spencer Strider’s return.
