Atlanta Braves news and notes from Saturday
It is that time of year again, when we have often ridiculous discourse about Hall of Fame ballots, as the results are set to be announced in a few weeks. Andruw Jones appears to be on pace to fall short of the 75% threshold needed for induction, but may be continuing to gain support, as his votes have grown substantially over the past few years. He may be another year or two away from reaching 75% if he can continue to garner more support. Meanwhile, we wait for the Braves to put the finishing touches on their roster and for the rest of the dominoes to fall around the league. There are still a lot of fairly significant free agents out there, especially on the position-player side and pitchers and catchers reporting is starting to appear on the horizon.
