The Atlanta Braves announced Tuesday that they had acquired right-hander Hunter Stratton from the Pittsburgh Pirates and then optioned him to Triple-A Gwinnett. In return, the Pirates received outfielder Titus Dumitru. To open up a spot on the 40-man roster, the club moved Chris Sale to the 60-day injured list.

28-year-old Stratton appeared in just three games for the Pirates this season, where he logged 2.2 innings.
As for Sale, the move was not a surprise as he continues to recuperate from a fractured ribcage suffered on June 19th. He is eligible to return at the end of August.
