The Atlanta Braves were unable to win two in a row after dropping Tuesday’s contest against the Milwaukee Brewers 4-1.Grant Holmes got the start and allowed three of Milwaukee’s runs. Offensively, the Braves outhit the Brewers 8-6, but they were only able to plate a run in the fifth, courtesy of Ronald Acuña Jr.’s RBI single.
The Braves will seek their second win of June in the series finale this afternoon at 2:10 ET.

The San Francisco Giants placed third baseman Matt Chapman on the 10-day injured list with a sprained right hand. The move is retroactive to June 9.
The Seattle Mariners placed right-hander Bryce Miller on the 15-day injured list with elbow inflammation. He is expected to miss four to six weeks.
The Arizona Diamondbacks placed right-hander Justin Martinez on the 15-day injured list due to a UCL sprain. He will get a second opinion to determine if he requires Tommy John.
After the Braves designated him for assignment, Craig Kimbrel signed a minor league deal with the Texas Rangers.
Philadelphia Phillies right-hander Aaron Nola suffered a stress reaction in his rib cage and will be shut down for two weeks. He has already been on the injured list since last month due to an ankle sprain.
