Atlanta Braves news and notes from Tuesday.
Some late inning heroics helped boost the Atlanta Braves past the Cincinnati Reds during Tuesday night’s 2-1 win. Chris Sale got the start and tossed an impressive 6.2 scoreless innings. He allowed just five hits and fanned ten.
Though the Braves tallied eight hits, they did not plate a run until the ninth inning, courtesy of an RBI double from Michael Harris II. In the tenth, Marcell Ozuna delivered a single to score Alex Verdugo and seal the walk-off win.
