Atlanta Braves news and notes from Tuesday.
Atlanta Braves outfielder Michael Harris II was back in action on Tuesday after an injury scare at the beginning of the week. He took a pitch off the wrist during Sunday’s game, and fortunately, received a clean MRI.
After a brief absence from the lineup card, Harris hit sixth against the Minnesota Twins and launched a two-run shot in the second inning.

He recorded another hit in the sixth inning and contributed to the Braves’ wild 8-6 win in Minneapolis.

The Philadelphia Phillies traded minor leaguer David Buchanan to the Cincinnati Reds in exchange for cash. The Reds assigned the right-hander to Triple-A Louisville.
The San Francisco Giants placed a pair of pitchers on the injured list in RHP Jordan Hicks and LHP Robbie Ray. Hicks is headed to the 15-day injured list with shoulder inflammation and Ray went down with a hamstring strain.
The Boston Red Sox placed right-hander Lucas Sims on the 15-day injured list with a right lat strain. The club also announced that right-hander Luis García has been placed on the 15-day injured list with right elbow inflammation.
The Athletics have claimed infielder Tristan Gray off waivers from the Miami Marlins and assigned him to Triple-A Las Vegas. The Fish designated him for assignment earlier this week.
The Los Angeles Angels placed southpaw Matt Moore on the 15-day injured list due to elbow soreness. The club then selected the contract of right-hander Ryan Miller and transferred Mike Trout to the 60-day injured list.
The Philadelphia Phillies outrighted right-hander Dylan Covey to Triple-A Lehigh Valley after clearing waivers. He has been on the injured list the entire season.
The Cincinnati Reds placed left-hander Nick Lodolo on the 15-day injured list with a sprained middle finger. The move is retroactive to August 24.
The Houston Astros have finalized a deal with outfielder Jason Heyward. The 35-year-old was designated for assignment by the Los Angeles Dodgers last week.
The Baltimore Orioles have reportedly agreed to a deal with reliever Nick Anderson. The right-hander recently opted out of a minor league deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
