The Atlanta Braves fell 2-1 in Friday night’s contest with the Los Angeles Dodgers after a pitchers’ duel between Grant Holmes and Yoshinobu Yamamoto. Holmes lasted six innings and surrendered both of the Dodgers’ runs. He allowed just four hits and recorded nine strikeouts.

The Braves were quiet offensively and didn’t get on the board until the seventh inning, courtesy of Matt Olson’s solo shot.
Atlanta has the chance to even the series tonight at 7:15 ET behind Spencer Schwellenbach.

Brian Snitker provided updates on both Spencer Strider and Ronald Acuña Jr. Strider has begun playing catch but there is no indication of when he will return. Acuña Jr.’s return date is also unknown, but he will hopefully begin a rehab assignment shortly.

Boston Red Sox first baseman Triston Casas suffered a “significant” knee injury during Friday night’s game and exited on a stretcher. He is undergoing tests in the hospital.
The Colorado Rockies placed right-hander Ryan Feltner on the 15-day injured list due to back spasms. The move is retroactive to April 29.
The Boston Red Sox officially placed right-hander Walker Buehler on the 15-day injured list with shoulder inflammation. He is expected to just miss two starts.
The Los Angeles Angels officially announced that Mike Trout was placed on the 10-day injured list with a bone bruise on his left knee. The move is backdated to May 1.
The New York Yankees placed infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. on the 10-day injured list after he suffered a high-grade oblique strain. He will likely miss four to six weeks.
