Atlanta Braves news and notes from Tuesday.
Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr. exited Tuesday night’s contest in the sixth inning. The club announced that his early departure was due to right Achilles tightness.
This was the first sign of Acuña showing discomfort. Witt singled on the next pitch and Pasquantino followed with the double that Acuña tried to grab in right-center. He jogged off the field. Looks like it was just a wise precautionary exit. pic.twitter.com/GY5h9TNtL0

The bad news didn’t end there, though, as MLB.com’s Mark Bowman later reported that Acuña was walking in a boot, would be headed to the 10-day injured list, and had actually been feeling the discomfort since Monday.
He will be evaluated further today, likely via MRI. While this situation is on brand for the 2025 Braves, there should definitely be some eyes on the coaching staff following this incident.
