Atlanta Braves news and notes from Wednesday
While the team floundered upon his return, it is worth admiring just how good Ronald Acuna has been since returning from his second torn ACL. He returned from his first torn ACL clearly still afraid to put full force on his recovering knee and it very clearly impacted him at the plate. No such problem this time, as Ronald is hitting the ball at an MVP level in his return so far. He is making a real All-Star case, despite returning to baseball in May and is running a 199 wRC+ and playing at a 10+ fWAR pace. He has 6 homers in 18 games, a 50+ home run pace for a full season, is currently running a .436 OBP, and is playing some pretty good defense. It is a joy to see Ronald back to his peak self which we have been deprived of too much by injury.
