It appears that David Fletcher’s stay on the Atlanta Braves’ 40-man roster was a short one. Fletcher was outrighted off the team’s 40-man roster Wednesday according to MLB.com’s Mark Bowman. The Braves have yet to officially announce the move.
David Fletcher has been outrighted to Gwinnett. So, Fletcher and Kelenic combined will cost approximately $17M. But Kelenic might be the only one in Atlanta.

The Braves acquired Fletcher along with catcher Max Stassi on December 8 in exchange for minor league pitcher Tyler Thomas and first baseman Evan White. Atlanta later traded Stassi to the Chicago White Sox for a player to be named later or cash.
Fletcher was part of a series of moves that began after the Braves acquired Jarred Kelenic while taking on the salaries of White and Marco Gonzales. Atlanta sent Gonzales to Pittsburgh for a player to be named later.
There is a chance that Fletcher could earn his way back on the 40-man roster, but at this point, it looks like Kelenic is the last man standing from the flurry of moves.
