No surprises for the Braves’ lineup in Game 1 of Monday’s doubleheader
The Atlanta Braves will try to snap a three-game losing streak Monday when they take on the San Diego Padres in a split doubleheader. Reynaldo López will match up against Dylan Cease in the opening game.
The Braves will make no changes to their lineup for the opener. Orlando Arcia is hitting fifth. Zack Short starts again in place of Austin Riley at third and will bat seventh. Chadwick Tromp will catch Lopez in the opener and hit ninth. Travis d’Arnaud is expected to return to the lineup for the second game of the doubleheader.
Cease faced the Braves once last year while with the White Sox and allowed one run over five innings. Zack Short is 1-for-4 with two walks in his career against Cease. Ronald Acuña Jr. is 1-for-3 with a pair of walks.

No surprises for the Padres either in the first game Monday. Luis Arraez will serve as the DH and hit leadoff. He is 7-for-20 with a double in his career against Lopez. Jurickson Profar is hitting third and is 1-for-8 with four strikeouts against Lopez.
