What was your favorite memory of the Max Stassi era?
About 24 hours after acquiring veteran catcher Max Stassi in a four-player deal with the Angels, the Braves have traded him and cash considerations to the Chicago White Sox in exchange for a player to be named later. The club announced the deal early Saturday evening.

The Braves took on Stassi and utility infielder David Fletcher in the deal on Friday in exchange for Evan White, acquired in the Jared Kelenic traded, and reliever Tyler Thomas in what was essentially a fancy swap of bad contracts. It was reported immediately after the trade with Anaheim that Stassi would be on the move, and it took the front office a day to find a suitor. It remains to be seen how much cash the Braves included in the deal to Chicago; Stassi is owed $7 million this upcoming season, so there’s a possibility the club saved a couple million with the maneuvering.
With Shoehi Ohtani signing with the Dodgers on Saturday, look for the free agent and trade market for starting pitching to really ramp up in the coming days. The Braves are still on the hunt for a starter to pair with Max Fried, Spencer Strider, Charlie Morton and Bryce Elder.
