Luis Guillorme’s time in Atlanta was short as he is reportedly on the way to the Angels
It appears that changes are coming to the Atlanta Braves’ bench. The Braves are trading infielder Luis Guillorme to the Los Angeles Angels according to a report by Daniel Alvarez-Montes. The return is unknown at this time and neither team has officially announced the move.
The Los Angeles #Angels are acquiring INF Luis Guillorme from the Atlanta #Braves, sources tell @ElExtrabase.
Guillorme, 29, signed a 1-year / $1.1M deal with Atlanta during the offseason.
He’s only appeared in 9 regular season games so far.

Guillorme signed a one-year major league contract with the Braves during the offseason. He’s played sparingly though appearing in just 10 games while going 3-for-20 at the plate. Most of that playing time came while Ozzie Albies was on the injured list due to a fractured toe. He last appeared in game on May 4 as a pinch-hitter against the Dodgers. That was his first appearance since April 24.
With David Fletcher at Gwinnett, the Braves had some flexibility with their backup infield spots. The return for Guillorme will be light and might just be cash considerations coming back. The move would open up a spot on the 40-man roster for Fletcher.
We will update as soon as more details become available.
