Atlanta needs to dominate Arizona before heading to the west coast.
The Atlanta Braves hope to shed their old, offensively-challenged skin by welcoming the Arizona Diamondbacks to Truist Park. After dropping their three-game series against the Boston Red Sox in the same frustrating way much of the 2025 season has gone, the Braves will need to take two-out-of-three against the Diamondbacks to avoid a losing home stand.
The good news is that the Braves did take two-of-three in Arizona at the end of April. The bad news is Atlanta’s continuing inability to find offensive consistency provides less than confidence that the Braves muster the output needed to sweep the Snakes.
After an off-day on Monday, Atlanta starts the home series with the weather forecast calling for temperatures in the mid-80’s all series. In past seasons, the Braves’ offense has found its footing after the weather got hot, so hopefully history will repeat itself.
With the team heading to the west coast for a series against the San Francisco Giants and then flying east to take on the Milwaukee Brewers, Atlanta will need to find something other that sweltering temperatures to rely on heading into mid-June.
Here are the start times for each of this week’s games against the Diamondbacks.
