The Braves will face the Mets seven times in their next thirteen games
The Atlanta Braves are taking on the New York Mets in game one of a three game series. This series is the start of a thirteen game stretch where the Braves will face NL East opponents to include seven with the Mets, three with the Marlins, and three with the Phillies.
Spencer Schwellenbach, who just came off of a complete game, will be facing David Peterson who has a pristine 2.49 ERA this season.
Keep an eye on Matt Olson, who has four HRs against Peterson in only sixteen at-bats. If his trend continues, he could have another one tonight. Peterson is a groundball specialist, and does not generally produce a high number of strikeouts, so the key to the Braves win tonight is to hit the ball in the air early and often.
First pitch is at 7:15 EDT.
