We’re not going to be cooking any padres today, but given how close Father’s Day is, I figure I’d give out a book recommendation on grilling.
I’ll be honest in that I never really knew how to grill. I’d throw steak, etc. on the grill, and I’d cut into it to see if it was done.

A few years ago, I decided this was bad, but I wanted to know the actual science behind grilling. I didn’t just want to grill based on recipes. I wanted to know what was happening. I came across this book, and I’d highly recommend it. My grilling is certainly a lot better along with now beginning to play around with rubs and sauces based on what’s here. It’s worth it.
