Dallas Keuchel will get a chance to shine in front of his home crowd for the first time tonight
For the first time in two weeks, the Braves will return to SunTrust Park tonight. Waiting for them will be the division rival Phillies, who are likely still salty from their most recent meeting. Though the teams looked somewhat evenly matched for the first two games which transpired over Father’s Day weekend, the final game saw the Braves manhandle the Phillies, 15-1.
Even for as glorious as that game was, the Phillies likely have revenge on their minds, and would love to get to Braves starter Dallas Keuchel early.
Thus far, Philly leads the season series 4-2. Aaron Nola has pitched in two of those six games, and the Phillies have won both. He was dominant in the first start (allowing one run and two hits on Opening Day while striking out eight), but was grossly inconsistent in the most recent start on June 15 (five runs over 41⁄3 innings). March Nola can take a hike. Give me June Nola!
