Storm’s a-comin’…
The Atlanta Braves are back in the Atlanta metro area, whose weather for the past couple of weeks has alternated between “Hotter than the surface of the sun” and “Atlantis.” As of right now, it’s rapidly alternating between the two with the latter causing a rain delay for tonight’s game. Storm clouds are in the area and as a result of the bad forecast, the start of tonight’s game has been delayed until further notice.
Tonight’s first pitch will be delayed due to weather. We will provide updates as soon as they are available.

As usual, keep it right here as we’ll continuously update this post with news once it comes down. For now, just sit tight and enjoy your Friday night. We’ll keep tabs on this for y’all.
UPDATE [7:35 p.m. ET]: I’m sharing this tweet from MLB.com Braves beat writer Mark Bowman for a quick look at the ballpark (and also because the good-natured snark between colleagues tickles me).

UPDATE [8:40 p.m. ET]: The good ol’ fashioned “We are updating you to let you know that there are no updates” move from the Braves, here.
We are continuing to monitor the weather and will share updates as they become available.

UPDATE [9:07 p.m. ET]: Still no official word yet but as you can see on TV, they’ve removed the tarp and are preparing the field for action so I’d imagine that we’re going to hear an announcement for a restart time real soon.
UPDATE [9:12 p.m. ET]: And there’s the official tweet. We’re rocking and rolling at 9:35 p.m. ET tonight. Get ready, y’all.
Barring any further changes in the weather, tonight’s game is scheduled to begin at 9:35pm ET.#RestorationOfPlay pic.twitter.com/yGX1yFZiFx
