Braves take care of Arbitration Players on Thursday.
It is always nice to complete an offseason task in a simple and easy manner.
That is what the Braves did on Thursday, agreeing to one year deals with Max Fried and AJ Minter for the 2024 season, thus avoiding the need to go to an arbitration hearing this year. Of course, the spotlight now is on seeing if there is any chance a long-term deal can be ironed out. However, with Fried and Minter so close to free agency and given the track record of each, it is likely sensible that both will want to test the free agent waters in a year.
Plus, the next important date on the calendar is the start of the International Signing Period next week, with the Braves likely to officially sign another highly touted position prospect.
