Ronnie will be there? Will you?
All-Star Games only come around once in a new ballpark. They’re pretty rare so I wouldn’t let this nightmare season scare you away. It was in the year 2000 the last time MLB held their great big showcase in Atlanta. Ronald Acuña Jr. will be there despite only playing 6 weeks this season. It’s been a pretty good 6 weeks for him, though.
So are you going to the All-Star Game this year? I’m trying to talk myself into it. Rather, I’m trying to talk the wife and my company to let me go to the MLB Home Run Derby. I’ve been to a Double-A All-Star Game and a Double-A Home Run Derby. The All-Star Game wasn’t bad, as nearly every player in it was a bonafide prospect. The winner of the Derby, however, hit only two home runs in the second round and had to win a sudden-death playoff to squeak by. I have a feeling Ronnie will beat that by a considerable margin.
